Account Deletion Request

At HouseMata, we are committed to protecting your privacy and respecting your data rights. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time.
Your Rights
Navigate to Profile Settings
Go to your profile, then select the "Account Management" or "Settings" tab.
Click "Delete Account"
In the Account Management section, you'll find the option to delete your account. Review the information and follow the prompts.
Confirm Your Decision
Review the consequences, enter your password, and confirm the deletion request.
When you delete your account, the following personal data will be permanently removed:
- Profile information (name, email, phone number, address)
- Account credentials and authentication data
- Uploaded images, documents, and files
- Messages and conversation history
- Property listings and saved searches
- User preferences and settings
- Reviews, ratings, and feedback
Certain data must be retained for legal, financial, and compliance purposes:
- Transaction Records
Financial records are retained for 7 years as required by law (anonymized after account deletion)
- Contract History
Rental contracts and agreements are retained for legal compliance (anonymized)
- Audit Logs
System logs for security and fraud prevention (anonymized)
- Aggregated Analytics
Anonymized usage statistics for platform improvement
Important
Immediate Deactivation
Your account is immediately deactivated and you are logged out from all devices.
30-Day Grace Period
You have 30 days to change your mind and recover your account by logging in again. All your data will be restored during this period.
Permanent Deletion (After 30 Days)
After 30 days, all your personal data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. Only anonymized records required by law will be retained.
Legal Retention Requirements: Transaction records and contract data are retained for 7 years as required by financial regulations. All retained data is fully anonymized immediately upon account deletion.
